
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine variations in student learning outcomes based on counselling communication (therapeutic versus empathetic) and students’ levels of critical thinking (high, Nama penulis depan dan tengah inisial, nama belakang lengkap (Garamond 8 rata kiri). This study used a quantitative technique utilising a two-way factorial design (ANOVA 2 x 3) with a research sample of 200 students from class XI of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Serang, selected through random sampling. This study’s conclusions were classified into three research findings: (1) Disparities in learning outcomes among students subjected to therapeutic versus empathic counselling communication, (2) disparities in learning outcomes based on levels of critical thinkingβhigh, medium, and low, and (3) the effect of the interaction between counselling communication styles (therapeutic vs. empathic) and critical thinking levels on student learning outcomes. Educators can enhance student learning results by continuously incorporating critical thinking and counselling communication into daily instruction.
